America the beautiful

Come to find out, none of those have been particularly true. Of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so maybe I'm way out on a limb here, but from what I've seen in the last 1500 miles or so, America is far more beautiful than I ever realized. Would I live everywhere we've visited? No. But for the first time, I can see why these parts of the country appeal to others. Whether mountainous, hilly or flat, green, brown or somewhere in between, with each mile I have more appreciation for God's amazing handiwork and our awesome country.
Today we landed in Omaha, Nebraska. Expecting corn galore, I was shocked to see hills and beautiful greenery. It reminded us of North Carolina, just without the drawl. As has been our routine for more than a year, we drove around town assessing it's liveability. The concensus: Omaha gets a thumbs up. We could totally hang with the Nebraskans.

Yeah, it's a whole new world traveling by car (or beastly moving truck) across country. I did it when I was 18 and headed to San Diego and of course back again...this country is impressive. Do you have your apartment picked out and signed on, or are you making the final choice on arrival of vacant ones? I never heard for sure...
We will be making our final choice of apartment upon arrival in Nashville and plan to sign the lease on Monday. Looking forward to finally having our own home again!
