The journey begins

Anxious is the word of the day. We've left Spokane and completed day 1 of our Europe journey driving back to Seattle where we will spend the night with the grandparents before leaving at 4:30 am tomorrow to catch our flight. With only a couple of days to decompress from uprooting our lives in Kirkland, Christina and I both find ourselves wishing we would have had a couple more days to relax, but ready or not we're off.
As usual, the unknown of what exactly we'll encounter is making us nervous. Will we find our way around? Will we understand the language? What if something goes wrong? We always worry too much before our international travels, anticipating the worst and hoping for the best. With a whole month to figure it out, we're hopeful that by the end we'll be seasoned vets. Here's to the beginning of our big adventure.
