This week was Nashville Originals Restaurant Week, which can mean only one thing for me…no cooking! To celebrate discounted prices in some of the city’s biggest foodie hotspots, Matt and I did the only reasonable thing to do in a situation like this and went out to dinner five nights this week.

Holland House: Pan-seared duck breast
We hit up places that have been on our list for months and places that came highly recommended from fellow foodies and local food bloggers. For just $20 - $30 each for a three course meal, Restaurant Week proved a great deal and a great way to sample a range of food.

Holland House: Beef bolognese
At the end of the week, we walked away with two places knocked off our list as ok but no plans to go back, two places that we plan to repeat again and again, and one place that will be a top spot for bringing a group of friends. In the world of food exploration, we consider this a success.

Flyte: Coffee creme brulee
In the next couple months, our restaurant exploration continues. Next month for my birthday we’ll be hitting up a nationally acclaimed restaurant considered the only true green/sustainable restaurant in Nashville, and in March we’ll venture out to the hottest new restaurant in town that has been getting reviews across the country for its unique setting and inventive food. Let the food adventures continue!

Holland House: Cranberry pear bread pudding w/salted caramel sauce
Fun! Now how much do you have to work out to look as fabulous as you always do after a food week like this? Impressive! Glad you had fun!
