| Ugliest license ever |
The next time someone asks me for my driver's license, they'll get an eyeful of ugliness.
Yes, with the renewal date of my Washington license looming, I bit the bullet and headed into the local DMV to make it official. Call me a snooty city you-know-what, but from the DMV office to the look of the license, Tennessee is certainly not helping its back woods reputation with this sorry display. Would it really kill the state to hire a good graphic designer to make over these licenses? C'mon Tennessee!
I held my tongue from telling the employees at the DMV how much I despised these ugly plastic things they call licenses, glumly turned over my beautiful Washington version, and swallowed my pride as they handed me this sad little yellow card in return. The sight of it still makes me cringe...plus it so does not match my wallet now.
If there's a silver lining in my license depression, it's that it only took me 20 minutes from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out with license in hand (yes, Washingtonians, the DMV isn't a 3 hour affair everywhere and they print out this ugly piece of plastic right on the spot) and it only cost me $12.

LOL...my conversion from a Michigan license to Wisconsin was a pretty step up, I'm sorry yours was a downer, but so worth it if you had to pay so much less! Ours are $34 here (but good for 8 years after the first "new driver" license). Michael has to pay $56 because of the Motorcycle endorsement. Still sounds like probably alot less than WA. Sorry it's ugly, glad it was CHEAP! I mean, it is just a drivers license afterall....love the rebel flag, thats classic!
Would it help to know they changed the WA licenses too? They aren't as nice as they use to be, maybe not as bad as TN, but still...
