| Meeting Smokey |
I have a pretty cool job if I may say so myself. I spend my days doing exactly what I love - writing and developing PR strategies. I get to do awesome things like spending a week at DisneyWorld Resort and flying on private corporate jets (by the way, waste and environmental impacts aside, traveling via private jet kicks ass). And I get to meet some interesting folks. Commence name dropping...
In just 2 months of working at my company, I've attended a private Craig Morgan concert, kicked it with some Corona's by the pool with Dillon Dixon (for those who don't know Dillon or his music, check out this incredibly talented guy. You might also recognize his hilarious son from the music video "Going out with my boots on" by Randy Hauser), and just last week got to meet Motown legend Smokey Robinson.
Meeting Smokey was a trip to say the least. He is a really nice guy with a great sense of humor, and insisted on giving me a hug when I reached out to shake his hand. For not being someone who is particularly star struck, it was a pretty cool moment to meet him.
Wow Christina, that's about as cool as it gets! Smokey was popular in my era of the 60's of course but I wouldn't mind meeting him some day. He seems so down to earth. Glad you are enjoying your job.
